THE LIGHT

In late 2018, PBS-Wisconsin commissioned a long-time collaborator, Zhalarina H. Sanders, and me to develop a series of experimental music videos, written and performed by Zhalarina that I would direct. The Light, an exploration of queer identity in the Southern United States, launched in May 2020. The following year, all producers on the project, including Zhalarina and me, were awarded Chicago/Midwest Emmy® Awards in the Outstanding Achievement for Arts/Entertainment category.
